My first time here and everything was delicious! The restaurant itself was so aesthetic, I love the decor and the dining ware they used was also so cute. The food was phenomenal, and each new dish made me crave more. I think my favorite was the chili garlic noodles. The cocktails were also delicious and well crafted. The staff were so sweet and welcoming. Overall a wonderful experience.
Some of the dishes they offer here are actually unreal. Others were either not for me or too pricey for what you get. Still, the interior is beautiful and I would definitely want to come back. Hopefully next time with a different waitress.. Favorite dishes: Isaan hamachi (I could literally bathe in that sauce), uni toast, sake yaki
New years eve at indo was something out of a dream. I had no idea I was getting myself into a 10 course prix fixe menu, but it was one of the best meals I have ever had. I'll start with the service. Amanda was my server and she was awesome. Attentive, polite, and overall it was an absolute pleasure to be served by her. Continuously checking in to see if she could help improve the meal. The interior is beautiful. Elevated, elegant, regal. The space is calming, sleek, and perfect for any occasion. You enter to see a small corner bar with about 7 seats. Then there is a small corridor back to the main dining area. As aforementioned, it was 10 courses. I won't bore you with analyses of every course so I will hit the highlights. To preface, I love seafood, but uncooked seafood is not my preferred preparation. That being said, every cold fish dish was superb. The tuna was so rich yet delicate. The sauces, garnishes, and accompaniments all balanced and complemented the flavors beautifully. Things like a coconut curry, candied garlic, fried wonton strips all elevated the dishes. The old fashioned was great as was the clarified daiquiri. It was coconut and velvety. It went down so smooth. The balance was wonderful. There were 2 favorites by far for me: the wagyu and the king crab. The wagyu--as everybody always says--melted as it touched your tongue. The tiger sauce gave a subtle kick with a perfect sweetness to counteract the richness. The king crab was warm and doused in butter. What more could a human need? Indo, you absolutely out did yourself. The staff were amazing, the meal amazing, the ambience amazing. I loved every second I spent in here and hope to spend many more seconds here very soon!
Indo is the ultimate #stlouispescatarianapproved spot. Sharing this experience with my friend Lucy from Chicago and Ace made for an unforgettable evening. We opted for seats at the bar, which turned out to be a perfect choice. Watching the staff in action added an extra dynamic to the meal. The standout? The shrimp toast--absolutely OMG-worthy. And don't even think about skipping the Isaan hamachi--a bright, citrusy, and perfectly balanced masterpiece. It was so good we ended up ordering it twice! Indo's atmosphere is intimate, an ideal spot for a date night, celebration, or a foodie gathering with friends.
I haven't been here in a while, but recently revisited with couple of friends for a nice dinner out. It's always a treat coming to Indo and I was very happy to see everything on the menu is still spectacular. Shrimp toast is still amazing and their cocktails are always spot on. I noticed since last time I've been here, few things changed but I'm not complaining. always nice to see restaurants making changes to their menu for the better, that shows they are working hard! I can't wait to come back for next time hopefully for their Happy Hour, I've heard great things !
First time at Indo and we decided to celebrate our anniversary here! The food was delicious and came out quickly. We got 5 plates as shown here for the two of us and it was the perfect amount. We could have got another if we had wanted to feel extra full but it wasn't necessary. The vibes were elite and luxurious as the dining room is dimly lit. The service was great and our server was attentive and provided us with excellent recommendations!
Intimate, unpretentious setting with great food. We had a great time and managed to finish a bottle of sake. The menu is small with small portion sizes and a full price tag. The yellowtail sashimi was our favorite. The restaurant does have fusion elements, for example the homey crab fried rice and separately the roasted squash were both hits.
This was an incredible date night restaurant! We were immediately welcomed by friendly staff and servers who excellently explained the menu and gave us great suggestions. We ordered a number of small plates to split but the two that stand out the most were the Isaan Hamachi and the Sake Sashimi. Both were to die for! I already can't wait to visit the sister restaurant, Sado! A truly top notch experience.
Indo is one of the top restaurants in STL. Love the sashimi combinations. They are always changing but always a pleasant surprise of flavors. Ribs are amazing(and I'm not a big meat eater). This visit tried the happy hour cocktails and they were so delicious as well. I rarely re-visit a restaurant as there are so many places to try in the area but Indo remains on my yearly "revisit list".
We came to Indo for date night recently and had a wonderful experience. The food here was delicious and every bite was packed with tons of flavor. Our waiter was helpful and had good suggestions as far as which dishes to order. Although prices are high, the quality of the fish and amazing flavors stood out throughout this meal. To start off, we ordered the Isaan Hamachi and the Shrimp Toast. The sauce surrounding the hamachi dish was tangy and sweet, which paired well with the fish. I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the shrimp toast was. The texture was great and provided a satisfying crunch. Before coming here, we heard great things about the hand rolls and decided to try the Benitoro, Spicy Tuna, and King Crab. Each roll highlighted the flavor of each fish. We also ordered the salmon curry dish (sake yaki) in order to try out a cooked fish selection. If you are a fan of Thai red curry, I'd highly recommend this dish. This dish was super fragrant and creamy. Lastly, we finished off the meal with some Mint Ice Cream and the Chestnut Cake. Both desserts did not disappoint and provided a nice sweet treat.
